Frequently asked questions
Everything a Namibian microlender usually wants to know before getting started.
Important, how the bureau and payments work:
NAMFISA does not allow LendCore to provide credit-bureau services or payment collection and disbursement on behalf of microlenders.
LendCore is software that connects to your own bureau and payment accounts. Every microlender is required to hold its
own credit-bureau registration in its own name; a payment provider is optional but makes the work easier.
LendCore is a NAMFISA-compliant microlending management platform built for Namibia. Your clients apply online, you assess and approve, and the system handles your loan records, collections tracking, and your NAMFISA returns, all in one place.
Yes. You get your own branded link to share. Clients register, fill in their details, and upload their ID and payslip from any phone. The application lands straight in your dashboard, no paper forms and no re-typing by your staff.
It automates the busywork: it scores affordability and credit risk and declines applicants who do not qualify, generates loan offers and agreements, tracks arrears and sends payment reminders, logs complaints, keeps a secure document vault and a full audit log of every action, and gives you reports on your loan book. On the Starter plan and up it also generates your NAMFISA quarterly and yearly returns. On Growth and up it adds a fraud engine that flags forged or duplicate documents.
No, and by law it cannot. NAMFISA does not permit LendCore to provide credit-bureau services, or payment collection and disbursement, on behalf of microlenders. LendCore is a software platform that connects to your own accounts with those providers. You keep using your own credit bureau and your own payment provider; LendCore simply ties them together so everything works from one screen.
Yes. For compliance, every microlender is required to hold a credit-bureau registration in its own name (for example with Creditinfo or TransUnion). You apply to the bureau directly; we can point you in the right direction. LendCore then plugs into your bureau account so checks happen inside your application flow.
A payment provider (such as PayM8, RealPay or Collexia) is optional, but it makes the work much easier, automated disbursements and recurring debit-order collections instead of doing them by hand. If you already use one, LendCore connects to it using your own credentials. If you do not, you can still run loans and collect manually.
No. You keep those services exactly as you have them now. LendCore is the layer that connects them and removes the manual work in between, online applications, automatic scoring, records, collections, and your NAMFISA returns. It does not replace your bureau or payment provider, and it does not charge you again for them.
LendCore generates your quarterly and yearly compliance packs ready to submit, which cuts most of the manual return preparation. It works alongside your accountant and reduces the time (and cost) spent pulling the numbers together each period.
Not necessarily. If you are not yet registered (or waiting for your registration), you can start now and get your business online. There is only one plan, with everything included, so nothing changes and nothing migrates when your registration comes through.
There is one plan with every feature included: N$18 per active loan per month, never less than N$900 and never more than N$9,900. Your first month is free (no base fee while you onboard), and the once-off onboarding fee is N$900. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
It is a once-off fee of N$900, about one month at the floor, that covers setting you up, importing your existing loan book, and training your team. It is payable when you start, and it is the same whether you run 5 loans or 500.
Your data is yours. Each microlender works in its own isolated space, we never share data between lenders. Access is controlled by staff roles and permissions, and every login, bureau pull and record change is captured in an audit log.
